National identity is already in the past, right, everybody a global citizen now, right? What does the Russian-Ukrainian war teach us about patriotism? What does this situation mean to Hungarian people living over the borders of the country?
As a jurist from Slovakia Dr. Balázs Tárnok, have been following this issue since childhood. After he received his Ph.D. at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2020, he quickly became the Managing Director of the Europe Strategy Research Institute at the University of Public Service, and Deputy Director of the Training Program on National Minorities at the Károli Interdisciplinary Academy. Recognizing the complexity of the issue he is attempting to explain he became Hungary Foundation’s visiting research fellow at the University of Notre Dame, USA. He is Vice-Chairman of the Rákóczi Szövetség and International Adviser at the Institute for the Protection of Minority Rights.
