"I have sacrificed 16 years for 4 minutes", Dávid Verrasztó swimmer said after becoming European champion in London eight years ago. Many professional athletes face the problem of not being ready for the challenges of a civilian career, both mentally and existentially, in preparation for world competitions. Since 2022, Gábor Kőrösparti, founder of the Hungarian Forum for the Protection of the Interests of Hungarian Professional Athletes and Sales Manager of Vasas SC, has been working to support the future well-being of these people through the Dual Career Programme for Athletes.
