Krisztina Varju

Deputy State Secretary for the Development of European Relations

In our globalised world, the Ukrainian-Russian war affects everyone, but it affects us in Central and Eastern Europe even more. We are now facing the worst energy crisis ever and the challenges ahead continue to unfold. As Deputy State Secretary for European Relations, with a decade of diplomatic experience, Krisztina Dóra Varju is working to find solutions to the problems we face together with our neighbours. As a Ministerial Commissioner, she coordinated Hungary's V4 Presidency on several occasions, spent a year as a visiting diplomat at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, where she worked on German energy diplomacy efforts, and also served as an advisor on European affairs to the Deputy State Secretary for European and American Affairs. Don’t miss her talk if you’re brave enough to face the questions you’re trying to avoid in your daily life!
