Link kopierenPlease find our application form here.
What is the minimum age to apply?
Link kopierenTo participate in our Volunteer Programme, you must be min. 18 years of age.
Which day of the festival will I have to volunteer?
Link kopierenYou can indicate your preference in the registration form, which we will try to take into account. You will be expected to volunteer during the festival opening hours on one day of the festival, but on the other day you will be free to visit the event. In case you mark both days as free, the organisers will automatically schedule you for one of the two days. You will also have the opportunity to go behind the scenes on the day before the festival and take part in the zero-day preparations.
What do I get as a volunteer?
Link kopierenIn return for your volunteer services, we'll be offering a range of gifts:
- a volunteer T-shirt
- volunteer pack with valuable Brain Bar merchandise gifts
- sandwich meals for the day you take up your position
- certificate
I've never volunteered before - are you going to train me how to do it?
Link kopierenYes! Prior to the event, you will participate in an online general training and a site visit where we will train you on all event-specific details!
Is it possible to request proof of my volunteer participation for high school community service/internship credit?
Link kopierenYes, we will be happy to provide a certificate of your participation after the event. However, please contact us at community@brainbar.com at the same time as your application if you need to make arrangements in advance of the event.
What level of English do I need to volunteer?
Link kopierenAs many of the programme elements of the festival will be in English, it is expected that our volunteers have a working knowledge of English. Our general expectation is B2 level of English, but this may be higher or lower for certain positions. During the phone pre-screening process, we will ask you how confident you are in speaking English and will assign you to a position accordingly.
I would apply with my friends, is that possible?
Link kopierenYes! On the application form you can enter a passcode, which we will use to try to match you to the same position or day - we can't guarantee this, but we will do our best to match you!
How is the contract concluded?
Link kopierenAfter a successful telephone interview, your contact details will be forwarded to our volunteering partner, the Civilút Foundation, who will contact you to arrange a contract.
If I have any further questions, where can I get in touch with you?
