Johanna Nejedlova

Founder of Konsent, Women's Rights Activist

Do we still need feminism, or can we finally just get over it? Aren’t women equal enough already? What is more, did we ever really need the feminist movement? Are societies where it happened better off with it? Czech activist Johanna Nejedlová says “hell yes!” She is willing to take Brain Bar’s stage and argue for her views! As the founder of Konsent, a nonprofit that works to prevent sexual violence and create safer environments for women, she is taking radical action every day to prove we’ve still got work to do. Her efforts didn’t go unnoticed: in 2019, she won the Women in Europe’s Woman in Youth Activism award, and in 2020 she was placed on Forbes’s 30 Under 30 list, and Bitch Media’s list of the 50 most influential feminists worldwide. Join Brain Bar to hear Joanna in a fierce debate on the role and necessity of feminism in 2022!
