László Gulyás

László has been working with artificial intelligence since 1996, a time when few everyday people knew what it meant. Over the past three decades he has gained experience in research, business applications and education, always focusing on bridging perspectives and integrating different viewpoints. Beyond technological progress and development, he is deeply interested in the societal consequences of AI, especially in what kind of technological knowledge and skills can be acquired and preserved through education. Who better to ask, then: does it still make sense to learn programming in the age of AI – and if not, what should we learn instead?
