Balázs Felsmann

Research Head, Regional Energy Research Center

Is true energy independence achievable for Hungary in the coming decades, or is it more of a dream? This is the question that Balázs Felsmann, economist and senior research fellow at the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research, will address. Over his career, he worked at Béres Group and later served as Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Transport, overseeing energy, communications, and transport. Since then, he has contributed as an expert to numerous Hungarian and regional energy projects and teaches at university, with research ranging from corporate energy strategies to the economic evaluation of new technologies.
