Balázs Fürjes
Member of the International Olympic Committee
Balázs Fürjes is a Hungarian politician and businessman. From 2018 to 2023, he served as Secretary of State for the Development of Budapest and its metropolitan area in the Prime Minister’s Office, and later as Parliamentary Secretary of State for the Prime Minister’s Office. He is a member of the International Olympic Committee and an active participant in international sports diplomacy. A passionate city builder, he works on issues such as whether cooperation between different spheres and interest groups is possible for a Budapest Olympics. He believes that this dream can only be pursued if the entire country can unite behind the cause.
