Izsák Baán OSB
Benedictine Monk
At work, on the street, even at home — we’re constantly surrounded by noise. Just think about it: if there's a moment of silence, we immediately put on a podcast or a show. But what would happen if, instead, we tried to be alone with our thoughts? Izsák Baán, a Benedictine leader knows a lot about what happens in silence. He previously researched monastic literature and spirituality, and today writes books about prayer and our relationship with animals. At Brain Bar, we’ll ask him: should we really be afraid of boredom or the voices in our heads? And what great things might come about if we sometimes choose silence?
