Brigitta Iványi-Bitter

Art Historian and AI Developer

Artificial intelligence is generating increasingly stunning images and videos – and you might not even notice, but it draws much more inspiration from international artists than from Hungarian ones. But why couldn’t Rippl-Rónai or Csontváry be among its sources? And what can we do to make sure they are? This is exactly what Brigitta Iványi-Bittera is working on. She’s an art historian, curator, and university lecturer who previously researched Hungarian animation traditions and spent five years in Toronto developing AI video tools. Today, she’s working at MOME to ensure that Hungarian artistic heritage also finds its rightful place in the AI-painted visual world.
