Inspired by the open and friendly atmosphere of festivals, Csaba created Havervagy because he wanted to bring that feeling of “everyone’s just cool with everyone” into everyday life. What started as a plan to build a community of a few hundred people has now grown into a 45,000-strong network, active in Budapest, eight Hungarian cities, and even in Vienna and London. Every week, hundreds of people join their house parties, clique-free gatherings where strangers sit together at the same table, as well as panel discussions, book and film clubs, and hiking trips. The goal behind all these events is simple yet powerful: helping people find a friend in each other.
