David Engels

Historian & Philosopher of History

David Engels is a Belgian historian and philosopher who focuses on the decline of the West and the study of civilizational crises. His most renowned work, "Le déclin", explores the parallels between the fall of the Roman Empire and the challenges faced by modern Western Europe. According to Engels, Europe is at a similar civilizational turning point as ancient Rome was during its decline. A popular conservative thinker, he often critiques European integration and modern liberalism.
