Dávid Vitézy

Transport Expert, Former Secretary of State for Transport in Hungary

'Trains are the fastest, most economical, and by far the most sustainable means of transport we can use. And yet, there are hardly any public conversations on what the future holds for railway. Dávid Vitézy is on a mission to change this – and he’s probably the most authentic voice to do so as most of the past few years’ rail-related developments in Hungary are owed to him. As the country’s former Transport Secretary, the founder of the Centre for Budapest Transport and the director of the Hungarian Museum of Technology and Transport, he firmly believes that trains (and not utopias like the oh-so-praised self-driving cars) are the future. This is what we’re discussing with him and Brain Bar – come and listen to his mythbusting talk.
