Dr. Ádám Miklós Sulyok is Head of the Copyright Department at the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office. During Hungary's 2024 Presidency of the Council of the European Union, he served as a member of the Council's working party on copyright, taking an active part in the strategic discussions at the intersection of generative artificial intelligence and copyright regulation, and contributing to the development of unified positions of principle built on professional consensus. His substantial professional support helped ensure the success of the flagship international conference held under the title "Intellectual Property in the Age of Artificial Intelligence".
Over nearly a decade in senior roles at the Office, he has been actively involved in HIPO's awareness-raising work, appearing regularly as a speaker at courses and events. His educational work extends to providing comprehensive guidance on the copyright questions and challenges that arise in the operations of small and medium-sized enterprises, thereby supporting their most effective possible integration into the innovation ecosystem. He is a member of the Copyright Expert Board and of the Hungarian Copyright Forum Association.
