Izsák Baán is a Benedictine monk, theologian, and the prior of the Monastery of Bakonybél. He has taught at universities both in Hungary and abroad and is the author of numerous articles and books. His research fields include ancient and contemporary monastic literature, the theory and practice of prayer, early music, and ecology.
