Esther Horvath
Photographer and National Geographic Explorer
Meet one of the world’s most successful and adventurous photographers! Esther Horváth is a contributor to National Geographic, a photographer for the Alfred Wegener Institute—which studies the coldest regions and seas on Earth—and a Nikon ambassador who documents research on Arctic climate change. At times, she spends months on the Arctic Ocean, surrounded by polar bears, darkness and cold, while sometimes she travels in warm protective suits aboard planes. Soon, however, she’s coming to Budapest, where she’ll share the astonishing impacts of climate change she has witnessed during her expeditions.
