István Berecz and the mentees of the Talentum Hungaricum program
Hungarian Folk Dancers
István Berecz is a recipient of the prestigious “Permanent Golden Spur” award in folk dance, a choreographer, and the artistic director of Fonó Budai Music Hall. He also serves as the folk dance mentor of the Talentum Hungaricum program. He believes that Hungarian traditions—especially folk dance—helped him discover his true self and vocation, and that our musical and dance heritage forms a shared spiritual foundation. Their performance features music from Kalotaszeg, presented by the youth chamber group of the Pannónia Folk Dance Ensemble, with contributions from Örs Tuba (violin), Zaránd Varga (viola), and Bálint Nagy (double bass).
