János Kertész

János Kertész is a physicist and network scientist, a University Professor, a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and a foreign member of the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters. He has been a professor at CEU since 2012, and previously served as director of the Institute of Physics at BME. His research focuses on applying statistical physics to networks as well as to economic and social problems. He has conducted research and taught in Germany, the USA, France, Italy, and Finland, among other places, and is the author of more than 280 scientific publications. He is a recipient of the Széchenyi Prize.
