János Ruff

János specializes in finite geometries and earned both his degrees and doctorate in Szeged. He considers talent development and science communication to be important aspects of his work. He is an assistant professor at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Sciences, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics. In the fall of 2023, together with his business partner, he introduced their self-developed card game, Møbee, at the Essen game fair. The game is based on a lesser-known finite geometrical structure, the Möbius plane. At Brain Bar, he'll show you the fun side of mathematics—don’t miss his talk!
