Kathryn Paige Harden

Professor of Psychology

Is it our genes or our upbringing that determines how we behave towards others? And which one decides how healthy or successful we become? Dr. Kathryn Page Harden, the director of the Developmental Behavior Genetics Lab at the University of Texas believes that our DNA impacts not our personality traits but also our academical and financial success. In addition to more than 100 scientific articles on the topic, she has written for The New York Times and The Washington Post, and published her book 'The Genetic Lottery’ in 2021. In this work, she challenges readers to consider what equality truly means in the world and how science and genetics can contribute to creating a truly fair society.
