Kitti Jakobovits
Counseling Psychologist, Literature Therapist
Will literature still have a place in a world dominated by screens? Perhaps there's no better person to ask about this than Kitti Jakobovits. Kitti is a counseling psychologist, a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Theoretical Psychoanalysis at the University of Pécs, and a literature therapist. She is the head of the Khora Budapest Psychology and Arts Studio, author of the book Literature Therapy, and a lecturer at Pázmány Péter Catholic University’s BA program in Psychology. Her research focuses on existential and psychoanalytic theories of creativity; in her dissertation, she examines the art and psychology of the American Beat Generation. At Brain Bar, we ask her: how does the book hold its ground in the age of the attention economy?
