Hungary's Minister of Defence

Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky started his career at a Big Four consultancy, then spent years working in the corporate world in marketing, sales, and chief executive positions. He also gained experience as the publisher and editor-in-chief of a political weekly news magazine and the vice-chairman of Hungary’s oldest conservative think tank advising consecutive governments on various political and policy matters. He served as ambassador of Hungary to the United Kingdom between 2016 and 2020 and was appointed minister of defence in May 2022. Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky is a reserve captain and served in various positions with the Hungarian Defence Forces over several years.
