Krisztián Nyáry is a writer and literary historian, one of the most popular renewers of Hungarian cultural memory. In his best-known works — such as the "Így szerették ők" ("How They Loved") series — he presents the private lives and love stories of the great figures of Hungarian literature and art in a highly readable, deeply human way. Alongside his writing, he is a defining figure in the Hungarian book market: as Creative Director of Líra Csoport and Artistic Director of Magvető Café, he actively shapes contemporary cultural life and the promotion of reading.
