Márta Tkacsik

Márta Tkacsik graduated as a theoretical mathematician at Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia. At the age of 23, she received her doctorate on coloring problems of complete graphs. From 1989 she started working on the design and implementation of large computer networks – based on EARN/BITNET and Internet, among the firsts in the world. Developed e-business and IT strategies, designed and implemented digitalised business processes for large, regional and multinational companies, working at international companies (IBM, PriceWaterhousecoopers), and later at her own management consulting company (FMC Consulting). Fourteen years ago, she left the digital world and “returned to reality". Her focus is on the web of life, exclusively. She established Patikakert (Apotheca Garden): a five-hectare biodiverse, completely chemical-free, regenerative farm. Her goal is to create as complex living space as possible for the growing number of plants, animals and other living creatures, and thus to produce real, nutrient-rich food for human. "Patikakert is a microcosm in the universe".
