Péter Pető

Journalist, former Editor-in-Chief of 24.hu

Péter Pető is a Hungarian journalist and editor, recognised with the Attila József Prize, and Director of Digital Subscription Content and News at Central Médiacsoport. Over the course of his career, he worked for years as deputy editor-in-chief of Népszabadság, and later served as editor-in-chief of 24.hu from 2019 to 2026. He regularly publishes on political, social, and sports topics, and is also the author of several successful books and the host of popular podcast shows. His work has been recognised with a number of prestigious professional awards, including the Junior Prima Award and the Quality Journalism Award.
