Philip Nitschke

The “Elon Musk of assisted suicide” or “Dr Death”, as he's often referred to, is an Australian activist, former physician, and founder of the pro-euthanasia group Exit International. Dr. Nitschke was the first doctor to administer a legal, voluntary, lethal injection: after successfully campaigning for a legal euthanasia law in Australia's Northern Territory, he helped four people end their lives before the law was overturned. In 2015, he burned his medical license, protesting conditions imposed by the Medical Board of Australia that he felt violated his free speech rights. In 2017, he invented the 3D-printed suicide capsule, which he named "the Sarco".
