Réka-Kata Regián
Winner of the NTP Talentum Hungaricum Program
Growing up in a village near Csíkszereda, Máféfalva, the world of music surrounded Réka-Kata since childhood: her mother collected and notated folk songs, but she was the first in her family to choose a musical career. She started learning the recorder and then the flute, and at the age of 15, she began to seriously engage with jazz. She experimented with various formations at home, but since 2018, she has been living in Budapest, studying and making music. She regularly performs both in Hungary and abroad and is regarded as one of the most talented young jazz musicians in the country.
If you’d like to meet her at the festival and ask your most burning questions, grab your ticket, or if you’re a student or a teacher, sign up for a free pass.
