Tibor Kapu

Research Astronaut

What skills and abilities does it take to become an astronaut? Well, who better to ask than Tibor Kapu? In the summer of 2025, the HUNOR program astronaut joined a SpaceX mission to spend twenty days on the International Space Station, conducting over twenty experiments advancing the fields from medicine to plant science. From his small town roots, it was his relentless perseverance, hard work and engineering mastery that launched him into orbit, proving that dreaming big from a small country is possible - and that Hungarian expertise has a place in the future of space exploration. At Brain Bar, you’ll get the rare opportunity to meet him face to face and hear his stories straight from space.
